Terms of use

Effective date: 11 October 2026

Institutional use

The Third Act (THE THIRD ACT LLC) publishes ZerooX as a media player for institutions. The institution selects the content service, supplies its settings and determines who is authorized to use it. The app loads these settings automatically. Use institution-issued credentials when required. If the service is available without an account, the app opens its content directly without sign-in. The app has no account registration or content purchase.

Content and access rights

The institution and its providers supply content and manage the rights to make it available and the validity of accounts. Your use must be authorized and consistent with content rights and applicable law.

Keep credentials private. Do not share access without authorization, redistribute protected content, bypass access restrictions or interfere with the service.

The independent demonstration uses original ZerooX content and its own account. That account stays with the demonstration; employees access an institution through its settings and account verification when required.

Changes and availability

The institution or provider may change the service, content or account access. A service change stops previous playback and verifies access to the new service. If credentials are no longer accepted, contact your institution for updated details. Public services do not receive credentials saved for another protected service.

Playback quality and the availability of content, audio and subtitles depend on the provider, account permissions, device and network. Features may be unavailable during maintenance or service outages. The institution can publish maintenance notices or require a supported app version.

Some content services use unencrypted connections. The institution selects the service; ask it for network-security details.

Device and data

Favorites, history and resume positions are stored locally and separated by service and account. Use the app-data erase action in Settings before giving a device to another person; it keeps language and appearance preferences. Disconnecting removes active credentials but does not cancel the provider account or erase every library record. Opening a public service preserves saved protected-service credentials.

Software licenses

These terms do not limit the rights granted by the included open-source software licenses. The Third Act (THE THIRD ACT LLC) permits modification of the covered components, recombination or relinking of the application with them, and reverse engineering to the extent needed to debug those modifications, under the applicable licenses. Software licenses, sources and build materials are available without sign-in or an additional fee. Content rights, credentials and institution access remain subject to authorization by their owners.

Responsibility and contact

The institution’s employment, access and media-service agreements govern eligibility alongside these terms. Applicable statutory rights remain in force.

The Third Act (THE THIRD ACT LLC) publishes the app and can help with terms questions and coordinate account requests with your institution. The institution supplies the identity of its content-service operator and any additional local terms when distributing the service.
